QUILT- IN SHOPPING AND WOOOHOO NEWS

Today was Quilt In day that my quilt group hosted . It was open for everyone , tickets bought in advance or bought at the door for a little more $$$. We had 2 guest speakers, heaps of shops displaying their fabric wares and a coffee van as well as plenty of morning and afternoon tea. The delightful Karen aka "Mrs Martin's Quilt Shop" was there and I visited her twice to purchase things.
Want to see what I bought?

Primitive Quilts magazine, some yummy harvest tone wool felt, ( I want to stitch pumpkins), and  a lovely hexie Christmas pattern .

Then I meandered over to another stall and saw this kit marked 20% off. ( sorry about the flash!).

Of course , I just had to buy this gorgeous button. And found this cute fat 1/4 to make a few burp cloths with.

Have you noticed a bit of a theme here?

On the way home I stopped at the newsagency and found the latest Simply Vintage mag. What's a girl to do?

I finished reading another lovely book a couple of weeks ago and my mum borrowed it before I could take a pic back then. " The Last Pearl" is the 3rd Leah Fleming book I have read and I really enjoy them. Now I am seeking out more of hers.

So, back to the theme. Cot quilt, burp cloths......I am now officially allowed to tell people and I am bursting! My eldest daughter, Renae ,and her hubby are expecting their first child in February!!!!! I'M GOING TO BE A GRANDMA!!!!! She is only 12 weeks and I hope I haven't jinxed anything but she did say that the news is out. So, you can imagine how my creative grandma juices are flowing looking for novelty fabrics etc. I feel truly blessed and I have been looking forward to this for soooooo long.

Thanks for taking time to look at my lengthy post   .

Angel Blessings
