I'M BACK

Yes, I am back after a month away overseas with my youngest daughter, Sarsha. We got home last Friday and I can't believe a week has gone by already. The first thing I did when I got home was unpack my suitcase and throw all my clothes in the washing machine. Hand washing is just not the same as a good wash and tumble . Oh, how I longed for a lovely hot shower after experiencing various excuses for showers in Paris, Carcassonne , Ireland, Scotland and London. So many different taps, no water pressure and hardly room to turn around! I have so much to show you but I haven't uploaded any photos yet . I did , however, take a pic of the gorgeous flowers my darling hubby had waiting for me on my return AND a bottle of Moet Chandon champers, my favourite! ( no pic of the champers and the bottle is now empty).

My thimble collection has now almost doubled hehehehe.I think I need dad to make me a new thimble rack now. These haven't been sorted yet but I thought I would show you.
There are actually some behind others that you cannot see.

I hope you have all been well and happily stitching while I was away. I haven't picked up a needle and thread since before I left . How sad! I do have a  swap item I need to get back to stitching this weekend or else it won't be finished by the due date. It is so hard to settle back in especially when I nod off every time I sit down.

Angel Blessings to you all.

Plenty of time for sewing, catch up on your sleep, and the telling of your travels.

  9. glad to hear you had such a grand time Ondrea! Funny isn't it, we take a simple shower for granted, but boy we miss them when the facility is not so good!
