SATURDAY SEWING

It was a beautiful warm and sunny day today just perfect for washing and drying those fabrics I bought on the Mystery Bus Tour a couple of weeks ago. All I need to do is iron them now. Although it was so lovely outdoors I decided to stay inside and exercise my sewing machine as it doesn't get much use with all the hand piecing I usually do. Jenny's Vintage Kitchen wall hanging was the perfect project to put together on my Janome.  I sewed the borders on and even gave straight line and in- the- ditch machine quilting a go. All I need to do is work out what fabric to use for the binding. I am so pleased that I used fabrics from my stash. Those with hawk eyes may notice that a couple of the sashings don't line up properly but that is what buttons are for hehehe.

Having achieved this I was eager to start putting sashings on Val's BOM stitcheries I finished a while ago.

I am hoping that Sunday will see me happily zooming along on my sewing machine again. My crocheting is coming along nicely. I have completed the first lot of rows and now have to repeat them all again with different colour arrangements.

Thanks for visiting me. Angel Blessings.
